Deliverables
Overview of Project Deliverables
The deliverables of the Local for Local project fall into two distinct but interrelated categories:
1. Consortium Deliverables
These are the official outputs produced by the project consortium as part of the Horizon Europe grant. They include software components, documentation, pilot execution reports, economic and governance models, and final project reporting. Table 1 lists the official Horizon Europe deliverables submitted by the consortium.
2. Pilot Ecosystem Deliverables
These are the practical outcomes developed and tested within the regional currency pilots. They demonstrate the real-world performance, adoption, and sustainability of the currency ecosystem. Table 2 outlines the deliverables and milestones specific to each regional currency pilot. It reflects how the open-source stack and governance frameworks are applied in practice.
Together, these two strands are the fruits of NGI Local for local. The results are both Europe wide and local. They demonstrate the technical feasibility, economic potential, and social relevance of local digital credit systems and lay the groundwork for broader European integration and scaling in future programs.

Beyond the Project Horizon
The Local for Local project is funded under NGI until mid-2026. However, our work does not end there. We aim to carry this forward. The project has laid groundwork, but the potential of local digital credit systems will only be realized through sustained commitment and development. We seek to continue this work in pursuit of two ambitions: the currency federation and the municipal adoption. To realize these ambitions, we are preparing follow-up proposals.
