Local for Local

What is Local for Local?

Local for Local is a digital platform to help cities deploy local economic tokens/local currency systems to help strengthen local economies. Local for Local recognizes that the current economic flows in regions focus on the flow of capital to far away locations rather than emphasizing the local benefits. The image below shows the current state and the ideal state after the implementation of a Local for Local in a pilot region.

By creating access to local currency and local lines of credit for businesses, we hope to create social cohesion through thoughtful and easy local purchases. Local for Local also aims to help cities with their administrative burden by leveraging easy and open technologies with powerful administration tools.
